The pesticide is used to combat various types of nematodes such as root-knot nematodes, stunt nematodes, root-lesion nematodes, cyst nematodes, and kidney nematodes in many vegetable crops, field crops, fruit trees, palm trees, ornamental plants, and quick-decline nematodes in citrus. It also combats many types of piercing-sucking insects such as aphids, thrips, whiteflies, scale insects, beetles, and spiders. It has a contact effect as well as a systemic effect and can move from top to bottom and from bottom to top when sprayed on leaves, protecting the roots from nematodes. It is also added with irrigation water, where it moves with the plant sap upwards to protect the leaves from insect and nematode infestations.
