Encouraging the germination process by treating the seeds with this organic acid speeds up the germination process and strengthens the seedlings.   
Soaking the cuttings before planting in a concentrated solution of fulvic acid helps encourage rooting.  
It is considered a natural chelating agent that facilitates the nutrients present in the soil.  
It works on treating soil salinity.  
It chelates iron and converts it into an available form. It also chelates calcium.  
It prevents soil calcification and cracking, which in turn prevents the tearing or breaking of root hairs. 
It improves sandy soil by enhancing soil aeration and preventing the leaching of nutrients due to water, thereby increasing cation exchange capacity. 
It activates enzymes and energy compounds within the plants, which in turn stimulates internal cytokinins and increases the division of plant cells, thereby enhancing the growth rate in the plants. 
It stimulates root growth and strengthening, as well as increasing the photosynthetic efficiency of plants by releasing CO2 from the soil.
