Characteristics – features
It is a quick remedy for calcium deficiency and is used as a spray or through the roots for all field crops
Calcium is an important element for the process of cell division and growth in plants, as it plays an important role in the formation and strengthening of cell membranes.
The magnesium in this compound also has a significant impact on the calcium absorption process and plays a major role in strengthening the outer covering of the cell walls. It was also found that the plant can benefit from phosphorous and absorb potassium only when the magnesium element is sufficient, and the magnesium in this compound improves the transport of sugars to storage places and works to resist fungi with high efficiency.
Despite the availability of calcium in all types of soil, a shortage of calcium stores can occur due to the slow absorption of calcium.
The first symptoms of calcium deficiency can be observed in small tissues, where first, a chlorination process occurs, which then leads to necrosis (local death of tissues).
It works to resist fungi with high efficiency, and also magnesium is the main component of the chlorophyll molecule which is responsible for the photosynthesis process in the plant, which increases production rates and raises the quality of crops and fruits.
It prevents plants from being infected with diseases, for example:
(Bitter-pit) in Apple
(Blossom- Endrot) in Tomatoes, pepper, and Cucumber.
(Tip-burn) in Lettuce and Strawberry
(Black-heart) in celery
It also prevents the early fall of cotton almonds
