Characteristics – Features

It is an inorganic compound that combines both copper and sulfate, and it appears in the form of a liquid or powder. It is commonly known as basic copper sulfate, copper fungicide BSC, basic CP sulfate, or basic triple copper sulfate. It is also available in solid rock form as crystals (known as pentahydrate), referred to as blue stone or blue vitriol due to its blue color. In this form, it is a well-known raw material for producing other types of copper salts.
Copper sulfate is used as a fungicide, algaecide, free radical scavenger, and herbicide in both agricultural and non-agricultural environments. It is also used as an antimicrobial and molluscicide.
