Characteristics – features
A general, systemic, non-selective post-emergence herbicide.
It is used to control annual and perennial weeds, grasses, and broadleaf weeds, as well as sedges.
It is absorbed by the plant's vegetative mass and diffuses through the sap to the roots and rhizomes to eliminate them.
The active ingredient has no residual effect in the soil, as it is ineffective and is broken down and decomposed by soil organisms, enabling any crop to be grown on the treated soil.
Snat XL is suitable for use under citrus trees, grapes, and fruit trees of all types.
The herbicide can be used before planting vegetables, field crops, and ornamental plants on existing weeds before planting.
It is also used to control weeds growing on embankments and drains.
Instructions for Use:
• The spray solution should be directed at the green weeds to be controlled only.
• Best results are obtained when weed growth is active and there is a sufficient amount of moisture in the soil.
• For weeds Perennial weeds require spraying when the weeds are actively growing and have sufficient vegetative mass to absorb the spray solution.
• Perennial grassy weeds are most sensitive to the action of the herbicide during the branching stage and at the beginning of rhizome growth.
• Perennial broadleaf weeds are most sensitive and susceptible to the action of the herbicide when sprayed during the growth stage.
• Weeds are less sensitive to the action of the herbicide if their growth is inactive due to exposure to thirst, drowning, entering the senescence stage, or being affected by high temperatures, especially if these conditions occur during or immediately after spraying.
• Avoid spraying when wind speeds are high to avoid the spray solution being affected by the spray on the planted crop, its fruits, or neighboring crops.
Recommendations and usage rates
It is used in stone fruit crops to control annual and perennial weeds. It is used at a rate of 2.5 liters per acre, spraying on active green weed growth at a height of 10-15 cm using a Tk1 sprayer. For perennial and annual weeds, a backpack sprayer with a sprayer is used. For regular weed killer, 2% concentration is used in fruit and grape crops, citrus fruits, apples, and mangoes to control annual weeds.
- Weeds growing on bridges and drains, at a concentration of 2% (2 liters per 100 liters of water), provided the weeds are well covered.
- Al-Saad recommends spraying at a rate of 2.5 liters per acre, repeating the spraying after 25-30 days.
- 1.5 liters per acre. For faba beans to control broomrape: Use at a rate of 225 cm per acre, three treatments as follows:
First treatment: 75 One centimeter per acre at the beginning of flowering.
The second treatment: 75 centimeter per acre, 15 days after the first treatment.
The third treatment: 75 centimeter per acre, 15 days after the second treatment. Symptoms of the effect on the leaves begin after spraying, in the form of yellowing, then redness and gradual drying, then rotting of the roots and rhizomes, and the plant eventually dies. Symptoms usually begin to appear about 7 days after spraying, and the plant dies completely within 25-35 days.
- Avoid contact of the spray solution with the vegetative system or contact of the spray solution with the trunks and branches of green trees.
- Avoid spraying if rain is expected within 6 hours.
