Characteristics – features

Copper deficiency is accompanied by a pale, yellowish discoloration of the leaves, followed by a complete loss of green color at the leaf tips. Symptoms include burning and browning, especially on hot days, limp leaves, and slow growth. In onions, copper deficiency is accompanied by a dulling of the bulb scales.

2. The vegetables most sensitive to copper deficiency are beets, carrots, lettuce, onions, and spinach. These vegetables respond highly to copper fertilization. In the case of fruit, citrus fruits are the most sensitive, exhibiting terminal bud death and downward dieback of new shoots, especially terminal growth.

3. Weak leaf and root growth of the plant, and a general decline in fruit production.

4. Leaves turn pale yellow, and all flower buds die and fall off.

5. Young branch nodes curl and dry out.

6. In cereal crops such as wheat, barley, and rice, symptoms appear as drying and death of leaf tips or parts of the leaf. The dried parts curl into a spiral. Leaves may dry out without changing color. Symptoms also appear on the ears, where the awns are not upright, and the ears are not full and are deformed.

7. As for In citrus fruits, this causes delayed growth and death of new development, the appearance of gummy blisters between the bark and wood, and reddish-brown exudates distributed irregularly on the fruit, which turns dark brown when the fruit ripens.
