A succulent shrub that reaches a height of 1.8 meters, its branches are filled with thorns. It grows under direct sunlight and can tolerate growing in shaded areas with 30% shade. Its flowers are numerous, but the red ones are the most famous. It propagates through terminal cuttings and seeds.
