It is an insecticide belonging to the neonicotinoid group, which works by affecting the central nervous system of insects. Acetamiprid is effective against a wide range of economically important sucking insects.
It acts as a pseudo-agonist of nicotinic receptors in the insect's nervous system, leading to neurological disturbances, paralysis, and subsequent death.
It particularly affects insects that rely on sucking feeding.
