Characteristics – Features

No potential toxicity of ammonia solution (NH₃) and nitrite to plants in alkaline soils. No nitrogen loss through volatilization when used in acidic or moderately acidic soils. It is considered the best source of nitrogen (N) in saline soils by reducing the specific negative effects of salts (sodium chloride) on plant growth and also by reducing the effect of calcareous soils with sodium by improving soil structure. It is friendly to the ozone layer and reduces gaseous emissions into the atmosphere. It is used with urea because of its ability to prevent the volatilization of ammonia from urea and enhance the efficiency of the nitrogen element in urea.
