Characteristics – features

A micronutrient essential for plant growth and productivity, as it is involved in the formation of enzymes, chlorophyll, and growth hormones (auxins), which supports photosynthesis, protein formation, and the crop. Zinc deficiency leads to plant dwarfism, yellowing of leaves while the veins remain green, and small and deformed leaves. The effect of the deficiency is clear on new leaves. Zinc deficiency can be treated by adding fertilizers containing it, such as zinc sulfate, either by foliar spraying or adding it to the soil.
