A selective post-emergence systemic herbicide for controlling annual and perennial grassy weeds in vegetable crops such as tomatoes, potatoes, and onions, as well as peanuts, sugar beets, and fruit orchards.
A selective post-emergence herbicide for broadleaf crops only.
It shows rapid efficacy against many annual and perennial grassy weeds such as sedge, sedge, phalaris, rattail, sparrow's wheat, sedge, red clover, and grassy clover.
It can be safely used on many crops such as sugar beets, broad beans, soybeans, cotton, alfalfa, tomatoes, potatoes, flax, peanuts, sunflowers, onions, and many other crops.
It is used when grassy weeds reach the 2-5 leaf stage.
It is quickly and easily absorbed through the leaf surfaces and transported through the plant's vascular system to the meristematic growth centers of the plant. It also rapidly moves to the entire plant. Root damage to weeds.
It is difficult to wash off with rainwater hours after spraying.
It affects the fatty acid cycle in treated grasses by inhibiting the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase).
It interferes with the vital processes within the growing cells of the weeds, causing the following symptoms:
- Weed growth stops within a week of the spraying date.
- Weed tissue in areas of new growth turns brown and then rots.
- Symptoms on new leaves turn yellow and then die.
- Older leaves begin to die by turning orange, then red, then purple or blackish-brown.
