Characteristics – features

It affects only the targeted pathogens and does not affect beneficial organisms. It is safe and does not cause any harm to those carrying out the spraying or to the environment. It leaves no residues on treated plants. It has no pre-harvest interval (PHI). Products resulting from treatment with it are in high demand in export markets due to their superior quality. It can be used in organic farming as an alternative to chemical pesticides.

The Biozide 2.5% compound is used according to the Ministry of Agriculture's recommendations to control the following diseases:

Other uses of the compound: (Treatment of soil and seed diseases)
Seed treatment:

Biozid can be used to treat seeds by adding 4-8 grams/kg of water-soaked seeds. The treatment should be applied immediately before planting.

Seedling treatment:

Prepare a Biozid solution of 500 grams/100 liters of irrigation water. Dip the seedlings or the required plant tubers per feddan in this solution for 10-15 minutes, then plant.

Soil treatment:

Prepare a Biozid solution of 500 1 gram per 100 liters of irrigation water. Apply using a pump and irrigate around the seedlings at a depth of 30-50 cm.

Method of Action:

Biozid 2.5% works through several mechanisms:

Attachment to the surface of the pathogenic fungus, causing the fungus to multiply and compete for nutrients and space. Secretion of enzymes capable of breaking down the cell walls of pathogenic fungi and nematodes. Stimulation of the plant to secrete and produce substances resistant to pathogens.
